Downstairs:
The dinning room is the heart of the house and was the site of the first kitchen. A wood burner sits in the old fireplace and the settle is an original, traditional Irish example.

The recently modernised kitchen contains everything you will need to feed and entertain whilst on holiday. As well as the modern appliances, the original farmhouse dresser stands against the wall. This piece of furniture must have been purpose-built in the house and previously stood between the kitchen and dinning room to form the wall between the two rooms.

The sitting room still has the original fire surround and wooden celling. If you look closely, you will see that the Georgian-style architrave around the celing is actually made from tree branches.

There is a TV and DVD player, with a selection of DVDs, as well as books on the local area, wildlife and fiction to keep you occupied on lazy days.

Upstairs:
The Yellow Bedroom is the largest of the 3 bedrooms and still has the original cast-iron fire surround. Two windows look to both the river and the mountains and, with the original wooden walls and high ceiling, is a wonderfully light and airy room. Ideal for a relaxing end of day or lazy lie-in.

The Red bedroom still has the original solid wood double bed, which has been repaired and renovated. During renovation works it became clear that it had been made from older furniture, with some parts showing carpenter’s marks. This room was probably a hay loft and the rear window opens as the original door would have done when hay was unloaded from carts. With an intimate feel this room is perfect for a romantic getaway or special holiday.
The Twin bedroom contains two single beds and has a roof.
